It appears that this forgotten Fox is going to leave Leicester City on a permanent deal. Fousseni Diabate is expected to sign for Trabzonspor in Turkey.

Fousseni Diabate is one of those athletes I observed and wanted to succeed: the Malian plays with enthusiasm, a smile, was said to be ultra skilful by James Maddison in training and seemed to appreciate and converse with his Leicester City fans.

Unfortunately, when given a chance Diabate didn’t really do enough to impress his Foxes boss. Or us supporters – if we’re truly honest about it. A great prospect, but one to be ultimately filed under the not quite good enough category. It must also be noted that Diabate’s misfortune at the King Power club is not through a lack of talent; maybe circumstance or confidence were causes.

After more than two and a half years at Leicester, it appears Diabate could be moving to Turkey. According to reports originating from a verified source, Trabzonspor will secure a permanent three-year deal for the winger.

RB Leipzig have taken Alexander Sorloth from the Turkish side, so the 24 year old Fox is considered a general replacement. The former Gazelec Ajaccio man only played 19 times for the East Midlands outfit.

Arsenal are the upcoming visitors to Leicestershire, a mid-week Carabao Cup contest is set for Wednesday evening. With the Foxes and the Gunners supposedly resting some first team personnel, expect to see some flourishing youth players from both teams.
