While Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side will still be a major threat to Leicester City on Sunday, the Citizens have injury issues.

Leicester City have received a boost for their upcoming match against the powerhouse that is Manchester City: the Citizens have only 13 fit senior players according to boss Pep Guardiola, meaning youth players will remain with the Premier League squad for Sunday following their Carabao Cup exploits.

Obviously many observers would still fancy Man City for the imminent clash with the Foxes, even if Guardiola only had 11 of his star personnel available. It’s not just the renowned prowess of the players available or the ingenious manager that still pose a threat to Leicester: the Sky Blues’ fresh crop of youngsters are absolute class, as one might expect.

Liam Delap – son of former Stoke City ball-chucker, Rory – scored on his Man City debut versus Bournemouth and others impressed, too. However, these first team regulars are not expected to be fit for selection: Sergio Aguero, Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Joao Cancelo, Ilkay Gundogan, Nicolas Otamendi and now Gabriel Jesus.

Kevin De Bruyne is also apparently a slight doubt. But, as previously stated, it is more the back-up that is affected as opposed to many of the eleven whom begin games.
