On Thursday AEK Athens entertain Leicester City in the latest round of Europa League fixtures. This is FoL’s predicted Foxes line-up.

The Foxes are in Greece for a Europa League Group G match against AEK Athens on Thursday evening. Brendan Rodgers is likely to rotate his starting line-up slightly. Yet it would be naive for the boss to make too many changes from his strongest XI – whatever that actually is.

That is because Athens will be a more difficult opponent to overcome than Ukrainian outfit Zorya Luhansk, who were defeated 3-0 by the Foxes. However, in that game the visitors to King Power Stadium had their chances to score. They could have even taken the lead, which might have led to mentality issues for Leicester and potentially a different outcome.

Furthermore, Rodgers explained to assembled media at the pre-match press conference that he took Celtic to the Greeks’ Olympic Stadium and was severely disappointed, during his time managing the Hoops.

Therefore, I suggest that the Northern Irishman trust and field his core of senior stars in tonight’s contest. For example, I would definitely start Timothy Castagne for his European experience, along with an obvious attacking threat.

Rodgers also seems to favour using midfielder Dennis Praet as a faux right-winger in the more testing matches, recently. It feels probable that the Belgian will begin the clash there once more, as a ploy to nullify left-wingers and overlapping full-backs.
