Brendan Rodgers has paid an enormous compliment to Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, who has been a revelation for the Foxes.

Six consecutive wins in all competitions is the wonderful platform created by the extended Leicester City squad. Despite heavy rotation, a congested schedule, injuries and plenty of system changes, the Foxes are now top of the Premier League. Along with maintaining their grip at the helm of Europa League Group G.

One player who has been dropped into the intensity of the English top-flight and has consequently flourished, is centre-back Wesley Fofana. In fact, the Frenchman has been the east Midlands side’s foremost performer in recent matches. Arguably, Fofana was a contender for Man of the Match in every single Leicester game he’s participated in.

Wesley Fofana’s rise, Brendan Rodgers’ praise

The quality partnership of Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans is under threat if Rodgers decides upon a 4-man defensive formation for Leicester, as Fofana‘s services surely cannot be declined. That is, of course, when the Turk and Northern Irishman return from injury.

And the boss has singled out the former Saint-Etienne man by paying his displays a huge compliment:

"“He’s absolutely colossal for a young guy…We’re delighted with him. He’s a big, big talent. He’s loved his start here.”Read more at Leicestershire Live"
