Following Leicester City’s rather disappointing display at Anfield against Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers gave an injury update on Timothy Castagne.

Yes, Liverpool’s team comprised of half their stars and the a back-up collective were well-organised in their victory over Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City on Sunday evening. From a Foxes perspective, something just did not seem right – regardless of what the ‘you can’t criticise any Fox’ brigade says.

Rodgers’ game plan was obviously similar to what he outlined and won with at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, at Elland Road versus Leeds United and in the Emirates clash with Arsenal. Essentially, the manager was entitled to utilise his tried and tested system on the road this season.

However, it was actually some of his better recent performers who let the side down: Youri Tielemans had one of his worst matches in a Leicester shirt, as I see it; James Justin seemed out of his depth; Kasper Schmeichel’s saves kept the score down, yet his distribution causes yet more problems.

Update on Leicester City’s Timothy Castagne

After the match, Rodgers spoke about Timothy Castagne, who missed the game after his hamstring issue flared up in the week.

Apparently the Belgian star is likely to be available for Fulham next Monday. But the boss didn’t mention Castagne playing in Portugal midweek, which means the player is a doubt for the Braga meeting.

There have been reports that football fans may be permitted to return to stadia in December. According to Daily Mail, the government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport has submitted proposals saying as much. Football clubs have lost millions in revenue in the past eight months or so; while supporters would be delighted with such a decision. However, if a Tier system is implemented in England, only Tier One and Two areas would be able to participate, the outlet suggests.
