Another classy Christmas move from proper club Leicester City
Leicester City are renowned for doing positive deeds for their fans and the wider Leicestershire community. This time it’s the players who had good will.
We normally like to talk football only on this dedicated Leicester City site, pretty much. Although, when something Foxes-related pops up into the news, onto our radar or blatantly should receive coverage, we like to broaden the Blue Army’s horizons. Especially something light and christmassy; which is desperately needed to lift our collectively deflated moods after Liverpool brought us down with a bump. And, not to mention the COVID-19 restrictions still being in place.
Classy Christmas move from people’s club Leicester City
Leicester City FC is a family oriented club. A decent, wholesome organisation, undeniably. In recent times, the King Power outfit has earned a reputation for treating their supporters with respect, as well as literally treating them and giving generally.
Foxes fans have received beer or free water, t-shirts and hats at games. Late beloved chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha even provided beautifully decorated cakes to fans for his birthday celebrations. Khun Vichai was also a philanthropist, giving generously to charity and a hospital. His son, and current Leicester owner, Aiyawatt, or Top, carries on the tradition when possible.
It is also refreshing to learn that the squad is handled with care and diligence ,too. Furthermore, the players’ egos are actually massaged; honestly, I’m not joking – it is a shrewd move from the east Midlands side.
In a lovely gesture, the club’s 2021 calendar will feature almost the entire team. Rather than one star for each month, there’s a duo on each page. This was there’s no dressing room arguments between the senior players. How pragmatic. It is easy to see why Red boss Jurgen Klopp labelled the club as “proper”. You can see or buy merchandise here.
