SC Braga v Leicester: predicted Foxes Europa League line-up
It’s a huge match for Leicester City on Thursday, as the Foxes take on SC Braga in Portugal. Here is FoL’s predicted Europa League line-up.
A win in Portugal guarantees Leicester City progress to the Knockout Round of fixtures in the Europa League. They currently top Group G, three points ahead of opponents Braga. Whom the Foxes defeated 4-0 at King Power Stadium not too long ago.
Likely Leicester City line-up for Braga clash
When the two sides met previously, Brendan Rodgers opted to heavily rotate comparatively with his often ‘strongest‘ available Premier League line-up. players such as Marc Albrighton – who’s actually had a run in the top-flight of late – began as a wingback, along with defensive-midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
Luke Thomas also came in as a wingback or possibly a left midfield operator in this system. Cengiz Under started, and so did Kelechi Iheanacho, who scored two goals. Five substitutions can be implemented so expect even more understudy cameos if all goes well.
Iheanacho’s form is exceptional in the competition: six goal involvements over two starts and one sub appearance. The Nigeria international will almost undoubtedly begin the match for Rodgers. Foxes of Leicester expects switches but, as always, strength.
Therefore we predict this starting eleven for the game: Kasper Schmeichel; James Justin, Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans; Albrighton, Christian Fuchs; Dennis Praet, Choudhury; Under, Barnes; Iheanacho.
Two players that some Foxes fans – especially a few Blue Army members who dwell on football twitter – appear to advocate the return of Islam Slimani and/or Demarai Gray to the Leicester first team. Thankfully that is not possible in the UEL due to neither being named in the squad for this stage. No disrespect intended to either, but we’ve been there. And they haven’t really done that. Both should be sold as soon as possible.
