Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers does not believe his Foxes team are in with a chance of winning the Premier League this campaign.

Wednesday night sees one of the best Everton sides in decades – in my humble opinion – arrive at King Power Stadium for a very interesting match with Leicester City. The outcome of which, the entire Premier League will be keen to learn. Carlo Ancelotti and Brendan Rodgers respect each other’s great reputation – getting the victory here would be a coup for either.

Brendan Rodgers asked if Leicester City in with a chance of EPL trophy

After his team defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at home on Sunday evening, Foxes boss Rodgers was asked if the club are in the 2020/21 title race.

This is a difficult question for the manager to answer, as he cannot do right from wrong in this scenario: if he says no, us fans want more energy and belief; if the Northern Irishman proclaims there is a chance – which there obviously is – we’d tell him to just focus on winning. Not to mention the deluded Brendan brigade no doubt chipping in.

Nevertheless, Rodgers said this:

"“No, not really. For us, we’re just enjoying our football. I’ve always said we’ll move up and down the league, I’m pretty sure.”– Brendan RodgersMore here."

Other topics the gaffer has recently spoken on include the stunning new LCFC training ground. Rodgers says he can’t wait for media and therefore fans to witness the majesty of the ground, determining the facility as “one of the best in the world”.

Furthermore, Rodgers suggests the club spared no expense for the “great investment”. Whilst looking forward to moving in a fortnight, he also warned his players that there are now no excuses and if they want to get better – this is the place to do it.
