Leicester City: 3 strikers for the Foxes to target in January
By James Bishop
Alexander Isak
Now, a lot of you probably aren’t fully aware of this youngster, and why should you be? A 21-year-old playing for a mid-table La Liga side. But let me tell you the headlines.
125 senior appearances, 48 goals and 13 assists, with 18 caps and five goals already notched up for the Swedish national side. And he’s only 21.
Isak currently plays for Real Sociedad after signing for them for £5.85 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. Whilst in Germany he went on loan to the Swedish and Dutch first division to gain some much needed experience, and with that he has been part of a great season from the Spainairds as they sit in 5th just a couple of points off the Champions League places.
Isak is over six foot, which for a small side like the Foxes could bring an extra dimension to their play. But it’s not like he’s a lump that can’t play football. The swede is very pacey and can play any of the positions across the front three.
This kind of signing is now expected among the Leicester City hierarchy, and fans will be able to catch a glimpse of him when the Spanish outfit face Manchester United in the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
