Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers said what all Foxes fans were thinking about Wilfred Ndidi’s shooting. Happily the Nigeria international has succeeded in scoring again.

James Maddison and Ndidi did the damage for the Foxes versus Chelsea. Well, the pair scored the goals, but it was a beautifully-tuned team effort from Leicester to seal victory.

After the Foxes defeated the Blues fairly easily, in comparison to what some observers probably expected, the King Power side’s manager Brendan Rodgers answered the usual press questions.

Below you can see Leicester City Football Club correspondent for Leicester Mercury, Jordan Blackwell, quoting the Foxes gaffer about the stunning or lucky finish from Ndidi – depending on how you viewed the goal:

When asked about Ndidi’s goal, Rodgers replied with a humorously delivered line. Clearly the boss was in agreement or of the same viewpoint as many people I have spoken to or interacted with on Twitter – not all of whom are Leicester fans – that the Nigerian needs no confidence boost, happily. Although, Ndidi could do with refining his technique when letting fly.

Now, if you read any of my stuff you’ll be well aware that I am a Blue Army member; however, at FanSided we attempt to be as impartial as possible. Preamble over, here goes: for all of the Nigerian’s excellent attributes which combine to make him one of the best, if not the preeminent, defensive-midfielder in the world – his shots are regularly woeful and wasteful, overall.

light. Must Read. Some pay for Gray/Under to stay?

If the 24-year-old can net more for the side, he’d no doubt be the No.1 DM on the plane; not that it’s a prerequisite of the job, though it makes for a complete central player. He did not catch the ball perfectly at all against Frank Lampard’s men – but, to shoot with his weaker left foot instinctively and hit the post on the way to the net was perfect.
