Leicester City rescued a point away at Everton on Wednesday night, but given the game and the performance, a lot of fans were asking if it was a point gained or two dropped?

The Foxes were quick out of the blocks, looking to amend the result in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, and dominated the early stages.

With 80 per cent possession and several shots at goal, a goal was on the cards. It was, but Everton managed to grab it.

A long ball- with a question of offside – managed to break to James Rodriguez, who smashed home his first goal in four months beyond a hapless Kasper Schmeichel.

After that it was much of the same, with Everton unable and unwilling to build any attack. But everyone was on the edge of their seat, mainly because there was no way Leicester City could leave empty handed.

Watching this game was like watching Atletico Madrid defend, with everyone behind the ball, and everyone near the ball throwing their bodies on the line.

Thankfully that’s how the goal came about as Youri Tielemans had an effort that went through at least five bodies, giving Jordan Pickford an excuse for his awful mistake.

Again, Brendan Rodgers side dominated but couldn’t find a winner, which left a sour taste on the whole affair.

There is no doubt that Leicester were the better side, they had more of whatever you could find in the stats, and on another day it could have been a comfortable three points.

But with Manchester United slipping up against a marooned Sheffield United, is it a missed opportunity? I think given the situation it was a good point against a good side who were dreadful.

But with Wilfred Ndidi seemingly out for a couple of matches, Leicester City definitely left Goodison Park in a worse situation than when they entered.
