Young Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana wants to inflict revenge onto an Everton side that surprisingly defeated the Foxes earlier this season.

Will Caglar Soyuncu ever get back into the Foxes starting lineup? Without an injury to either of the recently immaculate pairing of Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana, I simply do not know.

I also never thought that Leicester fans – or Brendan Rodgers, for that matter – would be in this positive predicament. Soyuncu was generally an upgrade on Harry Maguire, whom at on point was a revolutionarily modern centre-half on Filbert Way. Therefore, without his fitness problem, the Turkey international would not have been dropped.

Nevertheless, as previously stated, this is a great scenario for Leicester – as long as Soyuncu doesn’t get annoyed and start beating up his rivals for a defensive spot. That was a joke, but the 24-year-old is a bit scary on occasion.

Wesley Fofana wants to get revenge for Leicester City

This is what the highly-rated Frenchman said of the upcoming Everton clash:

"“Certainly there’s a sense of revenge that we’ve got to take on Everton. They came to King Power Stadium and went away with three points, so we’ve got to go into this match to set the record straight.”– Wesley FofanaVia lcfc.com"

Everton welcome Leicester on Wednesday night at Goodison Park, kick-off is at 8:15pm GMT. Coverage of the match in the United Kingdom is on BT Sport 2. Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti says his team has benefitted from a small advantage due to talismanic Foxes striker Jamie Vardy being unavailable for the meeting. This is because of a recent hernia operation performed on the forward, who will only be sidelined for two weeks, apparently.
