Leicester City’s attacking defender Timothy Castagne has spoken to the club’s website before the Leeds United game. And the Belgian star speaks the truth.

The Foxes should have felt unlucky to leave Everton’s Goodison Park without three points on Wednesday. In addition, they can be content with a draw and not leaving empty handed; in years gone by, the grit arguably wasn’t there so the east Midlands side would have gotten nothing whatsoever.

Certain players again showed their toughness, spirit and quality in coming back against the Toffees: Youri Tielemans, Kasper Schmeichel and Harvey Barnes among them.

Versatile fullback Timothy Castagne also often does much of the less glamorised work in the team. Without scoring or assisting, these attack-minded yet defensive athletes go under the rarer occasionally. But, for a maiden campaign especially, the Belgium international is having a great year.

Furthermore, he’s quite an interesting character, though not for the predictably obvious reasons that other footballers are associated with. Although I’m sure he’s affable and a laugh with his teammates, Castagne appears to have a no-nonsense type of persona. Something that I know for a fact is appreciated by the Blue Army.

Let’s hear what he said about the upcoming Whites match:

Elsewhere in Foxes transfer news, Demarai Gray should finally be on his way out of the club, as per Sky Sport in Germany. Luckily, Leicester will now hopefully receive some funds for a transfer this month; as opposed to the winger signing a deal to leave in the summer for no payment. Bayer Leverkusen will also have to give Birmingham City a slice of the fee. Gray is apparently traveling to Germany now, or is there already, in order to complete his switch.
