Leicester v Leeds: Foxes starting lineup reaction
With Leicester City versus Leeds United in the Premier League under an hour away, Foxes of Leicester gives its starting lineup reaction.
Another important clash awaits the Foxes, so let’s waste no time in assessing the beginning eleven players selected by Brendan Rodgers for Sunday’s encounter.
Here is the Leicester XI: Kasper Schmeichel; Timothy Castagne, Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans, James Justin; Papy Mendy, Youri Tielemans; Marc Albrighton, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes; Ayoze Perez.
Substitutes are: Danny Ward, Daniel Amartey, Caglar Soyuncu, Christian Fuchs, Ricardo Pereira, Luke Thomas, Hamza Choudhury, Cengiz Under, and Kelechi Iheanacho.
FoL’s Leicester City starting XI reaction
The Leicester lineup is what we all expected and predicted from the boss. Clearly any team would struggle to replace a player like Vardy, who is injured. Yet Perez may well be able to exploit space left by attacking Leeds defenders in this match. Maddison is the key figure for the east Midland outfit, as I see it: a playmaker can always be given that nod.
It also appears that Choudhury might be staying now as he is again on the bench -and the transfer window expires soon with the Foxes making no signings.
Following the Leeds match, the Foxes travel to West London to face a rejuvenated Fulham side under Scott Parker. Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers informed the Blue Army that the club is trying to find and sign a suitable attacking midfielder before the transfer window ends.
If pressed, Foxes of Leicester believe that if the King Power team does buy a player between now and Monday, which is unlikely, do not expect the incoming athlete to be an impressive, well-known star. That’s not to say that Recruitment won’t have unveiled another cheap gem by the Fulham clash – but someone experienced who can hit the ground running is obviously preferable for many reasons.
