Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers provides injury updates on Jamie Vardy, Timothy Castagne and Wesley Fofana ahead of the Fulham game.

If you were Scott Parker right now, you’d be very much encouraged by the replies given from the Foxes boss to assembled media at the pre-match press conference for the Whites clash.

I’ve obviously just given you a clear indication that the news from the Seagrave training facility is not good. And that comes after the awful home loss versus Leeds United on Sunday; one in which Rodgers’ usually excellent attacking exponents failed to create a threat, bar one fairly early goal.

Rodgers was asked about the fitness of several of his squad members before Tuesday’s match with the West London outfit.

This is what the gaffer divulged about injuries to Vardy, Castagne and Fofana:

"Brendan Rodgers says Jamie Vardy could be fit to face Wolves on Sunday. They’re still waiting on a scan on Timothy Castange, but looks to be out for a “short period of time”. Wesley Fofana is also being assessed after feeling discomfort in his hamstring.Via BBC Sport"

Additionally, the boss assured the Blue Army that he and the club are tirelessly searching for and will make approaches over fitting transfer targets. However, with less than half a day to complete any switches, the east Midlands side must work fast.

Mentioned players to fit the attacking midfielder role were Otavio of Porto, Inter Milan’s Christian Eriksen and Martin Odegaard. Yet the latter actually joined Leicester’s Premier League rivals Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid. More likely signings are Watford’s defensive-minded midfield man Nathaniel Chalobah, or the Gunners’ Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Maitland-Niles is Foxes of Leicester’s choice from those two options; although, he is a defender or a less creative player in the centre.
