Before Leicester City meet Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup, Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers revealed some hints about his possible starting lineup.

Leicester have welcomed Caglar Soyuncu and Ricardo Pereira back to action in the recent week – thankfully. Why it is such a relief for the Blue Army and the boss to have the formerly injured pair return is obvious. While the Turk is a formidable defender and team member, the Portuguese actually makes a difference at both ends of the pitch when fit.

In addition, there have been injuries to many others defensive-minded players, more so than forward-thinking personnel on Filbert Way. Timothy Castagne, Wes Morgan and Wesley Fofana are all currently unavailable for selection.

Next up for the east Midlands side, following a quite entertaining draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, are Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup. Brendan Rodgers said he’d be rotating slightly for the meeting; saying that some ‘talented young guys’ will be involved, as per BBC Sport. But Foxes of Leicester doesn’t expect any starlets to start the match; Jamie Vardy should also be a substitute.

Probable Leicester City starting line-up

Kasper Schmeichel (captain); Luke Thomas, Jonny Evans, Soyuncu, Ricardo; Hamza Choudhury, Youri Tielemans; Cengiz Under, Ayoze Perez, Marc Albrighton; and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Evans is available to start the game after his injury against Wolves. With Fofana and Morgan sidelined due to problems, it is more feasibly than usual that a veteran with an issue will still begin the cup clash. Below is what the gaffer claimed about his stalwart at the back:

"“Jonny will be fine. His actual toenail was coming off and I think in one of the challenges when he stepped in, it came off in the game.“So he was able to get that sorted at half-time and was then better in the second half. Sorry about the full detail there, but that’s what happened.”Via Leicestershire Live"
