Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers says Foxes star Harvey Barnes should be fine for the Europa League clash versus Slavia Prague.

After defeating Aston Villa 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, the Foxes are only now secondary to Manchester City in the Premier League once again.

Whilst the Citizens are very likely to claim the title this season, Brendan Rodgers and his men will be delighted with even a fourth place finish with the added bonus of Champions League qualifying rounds in that scenario.

Harvey Barnes has been one of the main catalysts in the King Power squad’s ascension to legitimate and consistent challengers of the status quo. Sadly the winger left the pitch with an ice-pack attached to his leg. But Rodgers has some information on the issue:

"“I think after a long week and a lot of travel, I think there’s probably little issues with some players, but they’re just getting ice on some sore bones I’m sure.”– Brendan RodgersVia Leicestershire Live"

Maddison’s hip problem was also addressed by the gaffer following the win at Villa Park. Rodgers divulged that ‘Madders’ is suffering from the same issue as he was earlier in the season. This came after the playmaker was substituted early in the very professional 2-1 victory.

In the previous campaign, Maddison also missed a substantial amount of games with a back injury. Hopefully the Three Lions man will not be out for long, if at all. The upcoming midweek match is a particularly significant occasion – the Foxes are definitely in with a chance of eventually lifting the UEL trophy in 2020/21. That is something that would cement the idea and convince people of a ‘big seven’ in the Premier League.
