The current season for Leicester City has definitely not been an easy one. With supplemental fixtures of the Europa League, the season has been anathematized with regular injuries. Such predicaments have seen young faces emerging, stepping up, absorbing the pressure, and delivering whenever called upon to step up week in and week out by the gaffer, Brendan Rogers.

Especially the homegrown players from the Leicester academy have been elemental in carrying the club during this unrest. One such prominent figure over the past year has been, the left-winger, Harvey Barnes. It is common knowledge that Barnes has been simply magnificent thus far in this season.

The sole reliance of the east Midlanders on the fox-in-the-box striker Jamie Vardy has certainly eased up a bit. LCFC has seen many new players register their names on the scoresheet for different occasions. Amongst those matches, however, Harvey Barnes has found his name in the scoresheet more often than others.

After three successive loan spells in League One and the Championship, Harvey Barnes has paid off his dues and made the most out of the opportunities that were presented to him. Scoring a total of nine goals and registering four assists in the Premier League this season, Barnes has been a blip on every major club’s radar.

It was reported that the 23-year old winger is a highly considerable prospect for the fellow Premier League side Manchester United. Such a deal would most likely cost around a figure of £60million. But Manchester United is not the only club that is interested in Barnes.

New reports, including from Caught Offside, heavily suggest that the winger is attracting strong possibilities from Real Madrid CF to reinforce the squad with his ferocious pace. The Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane is not having a good time with their left winger Eden Hazard, who has underperformed since joining the club. Zidane seems to consider a player like Barnes might solve a lot of his problems.

The dangerous and ultra-rapid pace of Harvey Barnes makes him deadly in his role as an LW. His signature cut-ins from the flank into the box have proved to be a lethal asset in the Englishman’s arsenal. For a few, those skill sets are reminiscing of one young Cristiano Ronaldo in his early days. Also, it’s uncanny that two of Ronaldo’s former clubs, where he established himself to be a top star in the footballing world, are after Barnes.

There is certainly a possibility that sees Harvey Barnes leave Leicester City if the price is right. The King Power club are connoisseurs in striking the most profit-making deals in the league. Stay tuned because the summer transfer window for the Foxes could indeed promise to be a hot one!
