Brendan Rodgers has explained what is likely to happen in his Leicester City fullback positions as of now. Meanwhile, Wesley Fofana had some high praise.

James Justin’s serious injury was a real blow for the Foxes; you don’t really need me to dissect that particularly, with the impact the former-Luton Town man made this campaign especially. Hopefully Justin isn’t out for too long; expect the layoff to be around six-to-nine months, as with Ricardo Pereira.

Yet with every dark cloud comes a silver lining: Timothy Castagne and Ricardo Pereira have recently made respective comebacks from varying injuries, both can now slot in to takeover on either side – you’d think. However, Brendan Rodgers has obviously been observing Luke Thomas closely in training – along with the 19-year-old’s satisfactorily competent displays in games – because the Northern Irishman wants the Englishman in his team, and Ricardo in a more advanced role.

Rodgers claims Castagne is more efficient on the right, whether that be right-back or right-wingback: This is due to the Belgian’s aptitude for sprinting ahead, the majority of times on the overlap. Naturally being behind a flyer such as Harvey Barnes on the left would diminish Castagne’s input.

Whereas everyone is aware that Ricardo possesses the skill set to be a triumph on the wing; transitioning shouldn’t be difficult as the former-Porto man has played there extensively. You can read what the gaffer says on the matter here.

Leicester City starlet receives huge praise

Ex-Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has lauded fellow Frenchman Wesley Fofana this week. Comparing the 20-year-old’s capacity to that of World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe:

Trending. Fans might not return to KPS in 2020/21. light

"“Everyone said he was another kid who went to get money too soon. But he’s extraordinary! He’s as quick as Mbappé (in his progression), he’s already a great player. Well, let’s not say that to him because it could turn his head, but you can see it. If I’m Didier Deschamps, I’m thinking about him”.– Frank LeboeufVia Sport Witness"
