This quote is exactly what Leicester City supporters want to hear from Kelechi Iheanacho, following the defeat of Brighton & Hove Albion.

Maybe a more accurate title for this piece would be: Foxes fans hear and see exactly what they want from Kelechi Iheanacho. This is because the Nigerian is finally coming into his own. He’s been important before in the legendary Jamie Vardy’s absence. Though never has the former-Manchester City man had to step up whilst the ex-England attacker went AWOL on the pitch.

To be fair to Vardy, that last statement is inaccurate too: Vardy still makes an effort when featuring since surgery, but his touch, coolness in front of goal, and facilitating has eluded him. Yes, the 34-year-old still attracts defenders and subsequently draws them towards him and away from the centre of play – yet he isn’t his usual self.

By the way, this is not criticism of Vardy, who was arguably rushed back as a starter too soon after a hernia operation. But the Blue Army sure are lucky that Iheanacho went from understudy to main component in a more efficient and confident fashion than when previously filling in.

Nevertheless, Foxes of Leicester wishes ‘Vards‘ a swift return to form as Leicester need him firing on all cylinders it they are to clinch a Champions League place for 2021/22.

Leicester City fans will love Kelechi Iheanacho’s words

Desire has never really been questioned of the contemporary King Power squad; each player seems very committed to the cause and club vision – especially after a few transfers out in recent years.

Although, last season’s run-in was a disappointment due to the great work before the coronavirus outbreak. Therefore it is encouraging to hear this from Iheanacho:
