Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana named with most promising world stars
Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana had been named alongside the most promising world footballers by the CIES Football Observatory.
We all know that Wesley Fofana is a prized acquisition for the Foxes. His displays, respectful persona and general disposition were refreshing as well as impactful.
While the apparent £36 million deal for a then 19 year old may have seemed high or even exorbitant to some, Leicester have in fact made another exquisite investment. He will produce at the club, then subsequently appreciate in value when he is sold for a ridiculous fee to a footballing superclub.
Furthermore, the Frenchman is in distinguished company on and off the field, as he’s been named alongside other starlets of global football by CIES Football Observatory. Prospects in Fofana’s bracket include Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund and Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich.
Pundit believes Fox can succeed Jamie Vardy at Leicester City
Former-Premier League striker with Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City, Chris Sutton, claims Kelechi Iheanacho may be “the one” for the Foxes, in reference to the eventual retirement of Jamie Vardy. Vardy is 34 now, though obviously the attacker is still managing to produce amazing performances at the top level, he won’t be on Filbert Way forever.
Sutton suggests Iheanacho has earned the trust of his manager, Brendan Rodgers, and that the striker possibly only needed a key run of games in order to unlock his own potential. Speaking to BBC Five Live Football Daily, the pundit who is not particularly admired by LCFC supporters makes a good point:
"“I’m not just talking about his [Iheanacho’s] goals, but his link-up, his understanding with Vardy and Perez. And this is probably what he needed, a run of games to really kick him into life.“And that certainly bodes well for Brendan Rodgers and for Leicester City because he may be the one now.“…maybe there’s something now in Brendan Rodgers’ mind where he thinks ‘I absolutely can trust him.’”– Brendan RodgersVia Leicestershire Live"
