Leicester City have received a possible injury boost, as winger Harvey Barnes should make a return to action in around a month.

Quite a few people expected the Foxes to struggle while the England international was injured. In addition, his fellow Three Lions team-mate James Maddison – a No.10 for Leicester who’s made massively significant strides in his output this season, as has Barnes – has also been missing for the east Midlands team of late.

However, up stood the formerly promising but typically underachieving Kelechi Iheanacho. Joined by a fit again Ayoze Perez who, together, have created and scored for Brendan Rodgers’ side whilst two important, attack-minded options were sidelined.

In fact, the impact from both – in particular the Nigerian because Perez wasn’t quite as influential in the win against Manchester United as he was versus Sheffield United – was so effective that some observers and fans are questioning whether, when ready to compete again, Barnes and Maddison should automatically return to the starting eleven.

Yet Maddison is set to be available after the current international break – no Leicester squad members feature with England this time around, due to the aforementioned pair and the Southgate-impressing James Justin also being injured – and with the 24-year-old’s form excellent before sustaining a recurrence of his problem, he will probably come into the line-up for Perez.

Iheanacho is likely to keep his place for at least a few weeks, though, as Barnes’ return is going to be a month later than Maddison’s:

"Leicester meet Saints at Wembley on April 17 or 18, which may come too soon for Barnes. The Foxes are hopeful, however, that he will be available again towards the end of April or at the start of May, which would give Barnes the chance to help his side push for a top-four finish – and possibly lift the FA Cup for the first time in their history.Via Daily Mail"
