Leicester v Man City: preview, injuries, predicted line-ups
Injury news and predicted line-ups
As written here, the Foxes have received positive injury news. The returning goal-scorer for our previous encounter – James Maddison – is expected to be available for Saturday. As should Ricardo Pereira, the star right-back.
Those two should be shoe-horned right into the starting XI. There is also speculation that Cengiz Under may also be available for selection, though due to fitness he is highly unlikely to start the match. Another point of fitness comes from international duty.
The Belgian trio were in action over the break, with ‘starman’ Tielemans, Castagne, and Dennis Praet performing excellently for Roberto Martinez’s side. Dennis got a 71 minutes stint, in which he scored a fantastic goal and got an assist.
The form of these players may put all three into the side, though Praet may be brought off for Maddison later in the match. Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi also featured for the Nigerian team, with the former not continuing his goal scoring form.
Expected Line-up:
Kasper Schmeichel (GK), Caglar Soyuncu (LCB), Jonny Evans (CB), Wesley Fofana (RCB), Timothy Castagne (LWB), Ricardo Pereira (RWB), Wilfred Ndidi (CDM), Youri Tielemans (CM), Dennis Praet (AM), Kelechi Iheanacho (ST), and Jamie Vardy (ST).
I would prefer to see Marc Albrighton starting on the RWB role ahead of Ricky P, so we can bring the star on later in the match if we are losing – to change up the game – or winning – to dominate possession.
