On Sunday Leicester City travel to the capital to face off with West Ham United, in what will be a crucial battle in the war for top four.

With this important match upcoming, Leicester City must have their sights set on putting right their past failures. Notably, the incompetent performance which led to their last result against West Ham United, that 0-3 win for West Ham at the King Power.

Let’s check out the form, injuries, and predicted starting IX for these two top contenders, and how the Foxes might look to win this tough fixture.

Leicester City are still in the top four race

Despite a rather lacklustre performance against Manchester City, which was expected to an extent, the King Power side remain third in the Premier League, only four points clear of fourth place West Ham.

In terms of form (credit to Understat), both teams have two wins, two losses, and a draw in their last five matches. Meanwhile, these two are diametric opposites in terms of points gained at home versus away. Leicester being only two points behind Manchester City on away points, the Hammers being ten points behind Manchester City on home points.

The London-based side have been stellar this season. The revolution that was the double pivot of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek, and now the addition of an in-form Jesse Lingard, have made the Hammers a truly balanced and solid team.

Meanwhile, the Foxes have been peppered by injuries. Yet still, Brendan Rodgers has pushed onwards and made better use of more of the squad than any previous head coach. Switching formations to fit in the ecstatic form of Kelechi Iheanacho, and the ever-present Youri Tielemans.
