West Ham v Leicester: Hammers injury news, expected line-up
Foxes of Leicester details the opponents in West Ham United v Leicester City, as FoL brings you the Hammers’ injuries and an expected line-up for the London side.
It won’t be easy for the Foxes on Sunday, at all! West Ham are in a similarly great position to their upcoming Premier League opponents, with one eye on Champions League or Europa League qualification. Additionally, the Hammers also have a very good as well as admired manager in David Moyes. Yet, the Blue Army expects, and hopefully the Brendan Rodgers’ side will deliver.
An element which boosts the east Midlands team is the fact that two of Moyes’ stars are unavailable for selection and have been ruled out of farthing in this particular game. Declan Rice – who has really proven himself to the doubters this season with club and country, myself included – and Michail Antonio will both be absent.
More Leicester City encouragement
Furthermore, WHU are expected to also be without the dangerously unpredictable Andriy Yarmolenko for the match, along with Angelo Ogbonna who is another doubt for the match.
"“He’s [Declan Rice has] got an injury as everybody is aware, we will try to get him back as quickly as we can but we won’t put a timescale on it.”– David MoyesVia Evening Standard"
Antonio has rightly been winning praise after being somewhat of a talented misfit in a similar fashion to Adama Traore. Yet, like the Wolverhampton Wanderers man, Antonio essentially became a much more valued commodity than many of his more describable peers.
Although, FoL deems the Rice being sidelined – the England midfielder is currently on-field WHU captain in the absence of Mark Noble – is the most notable missing cog of the Hammers machine. While Noble will likely come into the side as a direct replacement, I don’t see him as effective as the former, even in his younger days the then Upton Park.
FoL’s predicted West Ham line-up is as the formerly mentioned outlet expects: Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Issa Diop, Craig Dawson, Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku; Mark Noble, Tomas Soucek, Pablo Fornals; Jesse Lingard and Jarrod Bowen.
