Brendan Rodgers’ recruitment staff at Leicester City are said to be closing in on a bargain transfer for wonderkid goalkeeper Brad Young.

That’s right – the Foxes might be getting themselves a steal here, as a highly-rated 18 year old stopper is apparently close to signing. Six-foot-four Young is currently at Conference Premier outfit Hartlepool, after gaining a professional contract with them for this season.

There was a claim The Sun this weekend suggesting the King Power side want to sign the young ‘keeper following Young almost sealing a switch to Premier League club Chelsea last year. Young is an England Under-19 international is said to have been training with Leicester. Furthermore, the outlet says the deal is imminent.
