Here is an availability status update on Leicester City stars Caglar Soyuncu, James Maddison and Ayoze Perez ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton.

It is still absolutely fair to say that the Foxes supporters have lots of great things to look forward to. Including almost certain European football next season, as well as a confirmed FA Cup semi-final with the Saints on Sunday.

Obviously the excellent target-smashing campaign and performances have been badly tarnished by the idiotic five players who partied unlawfully prior to the West Ham match, which contributed to the loss with terrible implications.

However, according to John Percy at Telegraph, James Maddison, Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury will be available for selection against Southampton in the cup.

Additionally, the journalist also indicates that the trio shall return to training on Wednesday, possibly – likely if it were myself – to a group of disgruntled team-mates.

"The players will return to join the first-team squad on Wednesday morning…It is understood some of the players were also seething at the timing of the incidentVia Telegraph"

Percy also claims Caglar Soyuncu is in contention to play and is back in England.

Next up for Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City

Following the knockout competition clash at the weekend, there is a Premier League match with just as enormous implications for Leicester’s 2020/21 season. The Foxes entertain Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion on Thursday 22 April, and that is a far more difficult game than most will be expecting.

Sam Allardyce now has the Baggies firing on all cylinders: they are on a great run in the EPL with wisely used desperation for survival and it all to lose. Whereas the Foxes have entered a poor sequence of results, as well as having the formerly mentions, ridiculously selfish quintet to deal with.

A win at King Power Stadium against Allardyce’s men should give Brendan Rodgers’ team the boost in confidence they need to go on and secure Champions League football for 2021/22. Encouragingly, injury issues are now healing up for the east Midlands side, just as they need a full squad; although Harvey Barnes is still sidelined, along with James Justin.
