Reports previously linked Leicester City with targeting the two players in question, now talk of a defender and midfielder joining the Foxes returns.
Only in this past week, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers assured fans that the team is to be strengthened in three or four areas during this summer’s transfer window. That is if the budget permits and suitable options are available, or can be prised away.
Essentially, an attacking midfielder is the most important as well as first item on the list. The second task will be a new winger when Cengiz Under leaves for Italy. Thirdly a striker; preferably one whom can fill Jamie Vardy’s shoes – difficult as that may be. Next, and finally, is a centre-back; to be honest, I don’t believe that role needs filling unless Filip Benkovic is not good enough to be a back-up next season.

According to speculation in Thursday’s football gossip columns, LCFC fancy signing Lyon CB Joachim Andersen. Anderson is currently on loan to Premier League strugglers Fulham, where he has gained admirers from multiple sides if Daily Mail is to be believed.
They state carry a story saying the 24-year-old is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Manchester United and Crystal Palace, along with the King Power club. Therefore there is much competition for the Denmark international.
Apparently the athlete has informed his parent side – who are not interested in retaining his services – that he wants a permanent move to England. Only if the Cottagers survive relegation are they thought to be in with a chance of capturing their loanee.
Another man who has been identified as a probable Leicester target is Tommaso Pobega of Milan, who is at Spezia temporarily at the moment. His midfield prowess has also won him plaudits and a place in the Italy Under- 21 outfit.
