According to the world’s preeminent transfer expert, Leicester City’s initial 2021 signing will be announced very soon. FoL explains.

Ahead of the summer, Italian transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, has claimed that the Foxes are on the precipice of completing the signing of an impressive French midfielder. Boubakary Soumare is a man in the middle who can do it all: tackle, head, intercept, succeed in passing long or short.

Hopefully Soumare will additionally provide a little more quality in transition or going forward than other, more specialist, defensive-minded midfield men already on Filbert Way.

Some of the Blue Army will be, understandably, deeply concerned that this incoming athlete has perhaps been bought as a replacement in case Wilfred Ndidi is sold for a hugely exorbitant fee. I’m afraid I have nothing to say to console you on that possibility. Many will be hoping it is Hamza Choudhury whom is allowed to leave instead.

Leicester City signing imminent

The 22-year-old of Lille will be LCFC’s initial acquisition for 2021, as they bought no players in the January transfer window. Last summer, Wesley Fofana came in from French club Saint-Etienne for approximately £31.50 million; Timothy Castagne arrived via Atalanta BC for a reported fee of £18.00m; LCFC also loaned in Cengiz Under of AS Roma but that hasn’t been an overly successful spell in Leicestershire. Though a good number of supporters believe the winger should have been given many more opportunities.
