Leicester fans will love what chairman has said about transfers
Leicester City supporters will undoubtedly love what chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha has said about transfers and the Foxes’ power.
In spite of the coronavirus majorly affecting revenue and general finances of all elite football clubs, LCFC owner, Top, claims the outfit are in a good position. This statement was also made amid worry from the more informed Leicester fans that King Power Duty Free income would be impacted due to international travel all but stopping globally for a year, which could in turn have an effect on spending on Filbert Way.
Therefore the chairman’s recent comments will be very reassuring to the Blue army faithful. We can go to LCFC Live to see exactly what Top said of transfers and plans to expand the stadium:
"“The last 18 months have been so challenging for everyone, but I feel like the club remains in a position of strength…“We have secured two of our highest finishing positions in the Premier League in the last two seasons, have a highly skilled, driven manager, a young and extremely talented squad, we continue to compete in the biggest competitions…“Our approach doesn’t change; we continue to plan carefully, reinvest in our squad, our staff and our infrastructure, fight to compete on the biggest stages for the biggest prizes, and take our fans with us on the journey.”– Top Srivaddhanaprabha"
A chance for Leicester City stars next season
There is no Leicester personnel involved in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro2020, which feels a bit hollow to us English Foxes. Well, it does seem strange to me, anyway. Harvey Barnes and James Maddison can of course consider themselves unlucky not to be traveling with their national teammates; Barnes possibly more so than the former Norwich man. Next season, if the pair can be slightly more consistent when not injured and fully fit, I expect both to be involved in Southgate’s plans.
One man who is sure to he playing for the senior Three Lions side soon, is rapid defender James Justin. Justin was one of the most exceptional fullbacks in the Premier League in this past campaign, prior to being sidelined due to suffering an anterior cruciate ligament issue.
