According to a report, Leicester City have reignited their interest in signing Premier League centre-back James Tarkowski from Burnley.

That’s right, it is time for Foxes of Leicester to give you the yearly Tarkowski to Leicester update! Along with our opinion of the potential acquisition and our verdict on a deal’s feasibility. In all seriousness, on how many occasions have we discussed this particular defender moving to Filbert Way? It’s approximately four or five transfer windows, to be honest.

However, this constant linking gives us a fairly conclusive idea that the Foxes admire the Burnley asset. There are just simply too many reports about LCFC’s recruitment staff monitoring Tarkowski for there not to be something concrete about the talk.

In this instance it is LancsLive doing the ‘speculating’, or reporting, we may never know for sure if Brendan Rodgers doesn’t get ‘his’ man.

"Burnley are anticipating renewed interest from Leicester City for James Tarkowski with central defence to take focus in Sean Dyche’s transfer plans.…current contractual situation has invited Leicester back onto the scene with Brendan Rodgers keen to add defensive reinforcements.Despite the possibility of Tarkowski departing for free next summer, the Clarets feel they are under no obligation to sell this summer and could well retain the England international regardless of whether he is to sign a new deal or not.– Jaquob Crooke, via LancsLive"

FoL views the England international as a very decent possible addition to the choices at centre-half for LCFC; dependant on the Clarets dropping their high £40 million valuation, of course.

Preseason boost for Leicester City

If you missed this great news during the last week, then allow me to inform you of the update on Foxes academy graduate Harvey Barnes. Barnes has been sidelined with injury and has unfortunately had to undergo two operations in order to get back to full fitness.

FoL recently explained how the increasingly impressive winger is now expected to return to training with his fellow teammates in July. Technically that should make the Three Lions capped player available for the entire off-season friendly schedule. That will uplift the King Power club no end, along with giving the Burnley-born man the best opportunity at an equally excellent campaign.
