Leicester want this replacement if midfielder leaves Foxes
Leicester City have apparently identified a replacement in case midfielder Wilfred Ndidi leaves the Foxes. Is Yves Bissouma a coming to Leicestershire?
If Wilfred Ndidi leaves the King Power club it would be the least surprising star departure in my opinion. However, that prospective transfer away from Filbert Way could harm Leicester most of all.
Basically, the Nigeria international has consistently been one of the foremost Fox performers for a few consecutive campaigns. It would be natural for elite clubs around Europe to be interested or make bids, providing COVID-19 hasn’t affected their finances too terribly.
Leicester most likely want to keep their quality player – one who is almost a literal lynchpin in midfield – presumably unless an offer so high materialises that it is too great to decline. Yet, as we all know, these days LCFC are no longer the ‘feeder’ team they may once have been. No more ‘selling club’.
Say the aforementioned situation of a monumental offer for Ndidi does arise, Leicester obviously have a horrible decision to make. Though it can be eased by selecting the correct replacement.
"Fabrice Hawkins reports that Premier League side Leicester City are prioritising Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, in the event that Nigerian international central midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is to depart the Foxes this summer.Brighton are seeking €35m for the ex-Lille man, with other Premier League clubs interested in his services. The Leicester board view the arrival of Boubakary Soumaré as separate to the Ndidi situation and that the current Lille man, who is joining for €25m including bonuses, is not seen as a replacement for the Nigerian.Via Football News France"
