Leicester: Major development in pursuit amid Real Madrid interest

Leicester City have received a boost in the apparent quest to sign James Tarkowski, whilst Real Madrid are said to be eyeing up Wesley Fofana.

That’s right – there has been a fairly significant change in the situation of Burnley’s Tarkowski, an underrated player who earns the rather retro labeling of centre-half in a complementary sense. You see, Tarkowski is the type of throwback in defence who embodies the tough former game. Not to mention as well as embracing modern techniques and styling.

Essentially, in Foxes of Leicester’s view, the England international is a viable option for the Foxes; along with being one that will prospectively suit the squad. There is certainly a spot on the roster for another top level defensive man. This is the development surrounding Tarkowski:

Now, please take this with a pinch of salt and don’t despair at the source too much, just hear me out. The Star – yes – carries a claim from Spanish media suggesting Real Madrid are targeting a move for Leicester centre-back Wesley Fofana.

Naturally this is possibly far fetched, yet it is possible that the youthful shining light on Filbert Way is on a list of many defenders that could potentially replace Raphael Varane.

Within the story it is mentioned that Varane is on the verge of signing for Manchester United and Fofana is lined up as the senior Frenchman’s successor. Yet, as he’s only had one successful Premier League campaign, it seems unlikely that the France Under-21 defender would be near to the top of Real’s wishlist.
