SkySports has reported the news that Leicester City have opened discussions with the representatives of Mikkel Damsgaard, illustrating the transfer policy of the King Power side: agree terms, agree fee, and do not announce for weeks.

Leicester City did not use Cengiz Under much last season, with Brendan Rodgers not liking his defensive ability or efficiency in front of goal. Meanwhile, Ayoze Perez was out of favour for attacking midfield until the very end of the seaon due to his lack of pace and penetration.

More than this, the young Danish star retains the ball well as he dribbles up the flank or inwards in midfield. In attacking midfield, he is the most progressive player for Ranieri’s side.

On the attack or in defence, this 20-year-old has all the talent and maturity needed to upgrade and provide cover for Leicester City. Mikkel Damsgaard is expected to agree personal terms, then the Foxes will put in a bid.
