There has been a twist surrounding the potential Marc Albrighton to Burnley move. A transfer expert claims Leicester City will not let the player go easily, and that Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of the title-winner.

Recently Foxes of Leicester stuck its neck on the line to assert that the Foxes should stick with Albrighton and sell Ayoze Perez. To the apparent agreement of the majority of the Blue Army. In fact, some fans suggested selling both; whilst one or two wanted to see Perez given a chance.

There is not yet news of a prospective exit for the Spaniard, but rumours of Albrighton being targeted by Premier League club Burnley began the mind considering what is best for Leicester. Maybe Albrighton can make headway for the acquisition of James Tarkowski, for example.

Sean Dyche is said to be an admirer of the Englishman’s industry, quality and style – I would have put money on that, if Dyche’s proclivities were a selection at the bookmakers – and there was a report claiming the EPL winner was actually in talks with the Clarets.

However, Alan Nixon from The Sun who is a transfer specialist, states Rodgers wants to keep his veteran winger due to the Northern Irishman rating Albrighton highly. Give Me Sport quotes Nixon as saying LCFC desire retaining their asset. Yet the Birmingham-born man’s contract, which expires in a year, must be tended to.
