Now that the Euro2020 tournament is finished, Leicester City stars and loanees are returning to training ahead of the 2021/22 season.

England supporters can surely be proud of their team after finally managing to reach another competition final, yet the less said about the dramatic ending to the Three Lions’ time in the spotlight the better.

With no Foxes even involved in Gareth Southgate’s side – Harvey Barnes and James Justin were injured and James Maddison overlooked, while Jamie Vardy has retired from international football – it almost feels like a relief to look ahead to the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Incidentally, the day after England lost the Euro2020 Final on penalties, the majority of the Leicester City squad have returned to practice at the relatively brand new Seagrave centre, LCFC’s training complex. Fan favourites such as Caglar Soyuncu, Ricardo Pereira, Vardy, and up-and-coming former loanee Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall can be seen on the below tweet from the official club account.

On another part of the Twitter thread, Kelechi Iheanacho a.k.a. ‘Senior Man Kelz’ can also be seen attending the initial preparation session. Barnes is pictured on a separate post; recently Foxes of Leicester produced an article which outlined the winger’s fitness and progress, partly thanks to an Instagram story from the man himself.

At the beginning of returning to their manager Brendan Rodgers and coaches, the Foxes roster is unlikely to be pushed too hard in case any of them have overindulged whilst on their breaks and holidays. However, they can look forward to some intense running soon enough.

Some other members of the team are not back yet, prior to meeting Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on the opening day of the 2021/22 term. Kasper Schmeichel of Denmark and Belgian contingent Timothy Castagne, Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet have some more time off.
