Leicester: Youri Tielemans reportedly makes decision about future
Leicester City’s star midfielder Youri Tielemans has now reportedly made a decision about his Foxes future, according to the latest speculation.
For Leicester fans, this summer has been about looking forward to the 2021/22 campaign with optimism, feeling disappointed that no Foxes were representing England at Euro2020, watching other King Power players thrive at the international tournament.
Oh, and the Blue Army are constantly hoping, desperately, that standout asset Youri Tielemans eventually extend his LCFC contract whilst simultaneously rejecting the advances from Liverpool among other apparently tracking clubs.
Prior to the Belgium man’s stunning winning goal versus Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, Tielemans already arguably had Leicester’s most prominent profile through excellent play, leadership and consistency. Following the worldie, the general consensus from non-Leicester supporters quickly became that they would all love the playmaker in their sides.
Naturally the Foxes faithful expected this. The informed along with educated fans understand that it is going to be a task to keep Tielemans, and that his head will be turned slightly by outfits such as Liverpool monitoring his progress. All athletes want to reach the top, and there are bigger teams than LCFC out there – let’s not be dishonest to ourselves.

Reports are circulating at the moment which will undoubtedly upset Foxes supporters. Partly because at this point it is unconfirmed rumour, and secondly, their desire to retain Tielemans at any cost. There have been suggestions that the midfield maestro is considering a lucrative offer from Leicester; yet the most troubling articles talk of his potential departure.
Sadly, Daily Mail carries the story that the 24-year-old wants to join the Reds and is attempting to push through a move. However, the hearsay, which originated in Belgium, seems to get one major element incorrect: the asking price. Surely the east Midlands side is aware that the quoted £64million fee is far too low to accept; FoL cannot see anything happening for less than £80m.
