Ayoze Pérez- a serious thought!

There is no sugarcoating the fact that Ayoze Pérez has had an underwhelming season, to say the least. Many fans believe that the chances he missed could have put the East Midlanders for an anticipatory Champions League run. The 27-year-old winger should be an easier sell considering the blistering form he displayed in the past.

Pérez has underdelivered this season. His numbers don’t look too good. Valued at around €18M in the market, his sale could potentially land a big fish into Leicester City’s net. Recently the reports of Everton’s new manager Rafael Benítez was tipped to be interested to re-establish his formidable partnership with his former Newcastle prodigy at Goodison Park.

Even if it means a series of tough negotiations, the Foxes should not let this possibility of a sale slip anytime soon. Pérez does not integrate well within the system that Brendan is trying to play and perfect. He has a very generous rating of 6.51 for his 1331 minutes in 25 matches with two goals and an assist this season.

Adieu Albrighton?

Time flies quickly, and it has for our Premier League champions. One such recipient of the 2015-16 title-winning medal belongs to the veteran, Marc Albrighton. It’s hard to consider selling a club legend like Albrighton, but the nature of the business in current times screams in favor of such a move.

Last season, due to a long list of injuries, Albrighton played more minutes than he was intended. The gaffer asked too much too soon from Marc, and he tried his best to help out the Foxes in dread. Unfortunately, the club failed to secure Champions League football in the next season, which strangled the extra earnings that the club expected to generate from revenues & prize money.

The midfield is stacked at the moment, and if the 31-year-old stays, he would rarely be getting any playing time. Due to the imminent nature, it would be best for the player and the club to arrange for a suitor club. Valued at €5M, Marc should leave for a club in which he can establish his veteran role and guide the youths from his rich experiences.
