Furthermore, set-pieces remain a big issue; Leicester conceded two goals today from failing to clear their lines and were fortunate not to concede more, with QPR hitting the woodwork several times. Hopefully, these errors will be largely cut out with time and more match fitness; which is what pre-season is really about.

Off-the-field there were absences in the form of James Maddison and Jonny Evans, both of which were explained by Brendan Rodgers. James Maddison was absent due to the impending birth of his child and Foxes of Leicester offer their congratulations to Maddison and his partner.

Jonny Evans on the other hand is still struggling with an “ongoing foot problem”  as per Rodgers’ post-match interview. Clearly, this is a recurring problem that may keep Evans out of the LCFC team for some time. As such, the Foxes may have to purchase another central defender, although Brendan remained tight-lipped over what signings will come.
