Liverpool’s admiration for Leicester City star Youri Tielemans has been well publicised, yet it appears that the Belgian will sign a new Foxes deal.

Tielemans didn’t have quite as good a Euro2020 as many football fans expected, and his Belgium team were certainly eliminated earlier than the general consensus agreed. Although, that was a clear blessing in disguise for the Leicester supporters, or Blue Army, as their wish was more likely to be granted.

The update the Foxes faithful want to hear most of all from their beloved club is that Tielemans is staying. Those types of securities or tangible news forms usually transpire in the shape of a new contract.

Let’s be honest, as some footballers have not been true in the past – saying they are remaining somewhere but leaving at the first decent offer. Fabian Delph departing Aston Villa for Manchester City comes to mind.

Therefore the aforementioned Tielemans appreciators – which includes everyone at LCFC – will be delighted to be informed that the 24-year-old is expected to agree an extended deal soon.

According to a report in Leicester Mercury, Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Tielemans’ representatives will discuss a longer stay on Filbert Way:

"“Jon (Rudkin, director of football at LCFC) is meeting with his (Tielemans’) representatives” manager Brendan Rodgers said.”– Brendan RodgersVia Leicester Mercury"

Although the Foxes’ subsequent opponents have had a torrid time with consecutive results added together from both of their previous features in the English top-flight, Norwich City will pose a threat to the east Midlanders on Saturday – as any EPL team would.
