Leicester transfers: Foxes in pole position to sign left-footed Brazilian winger
FoL bring you Leicester City transfer rumour information, as the King Power club are apparently in pole position to sign a left-footed Brazilian winger.
Evidently the search for a new Foxes wingman was derailed by the injury to important centre-back leader Jonny Evans. Not to mention the unfortunate sidelining of youthful, trustworthy centre-half Wesley Fofana.
You may ask yourself why the CBs being unavailable meant Leicester don’t need to sign a wideman anymore – it doesn’t. But LCFC did need to bring in a defender, and Southampton’s Jannik Vestergaard emerged as the fresh incoming player.
Vestergaard is a decent addition, hopefully, yet his introduction was also sidetracked after a cameo debut via the substitute bench in Leicester‘s victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. So now many believe capturing one defensive-minded man and a winger, of course, is still a necessity for Brendan Rodgers’ outfit.
Two loans are allowable for Premier League sides, though the Foxes are said to be in pole position to permanently acquire Brazilian David Neres:

Leicester City release defender
There have not been lots of departures from Filbert Way this summer, only a few. Hamza Choudhury and Dennis Praet may still be fairly high profile players to join Rachid Ghezzal in leaving. Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs left the club, along with Matty James. While loanee Cengiz Under returned from his temporary time in Leicestershire to Roma in Italy.
And now the Foxes have released a less well-known name in Mitchell Clark. Clark joins Accrington Stanley of Sky Bet League 1. According to lcfc.com it was a free transfer. The fullback initially joined in 2019 from Aston Villa but never broke into the senior side; during his tenure at the King Power team, the 22-year-old went on loan to Port Vale on multiple occasions.
