Finally Leicester City’s promising new signing Ryan Bertrand is available once again for the Foxes following being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Bertrand was certainly in contention for giving the Leicester faithful the most optimism thanks to some marvelous pre-season play for the King Power club. Southampton’s former fullback actually supplied two assists in one warmup match from defence.

Bertrand’s left-footed set-pieces also offer another excellent dimension of options for Brendan Rodgers’ men. As you can probably tell, I am a big fan of the ex-England man. That is why it was a particular shame and extreme bad luck for LCFC that he contracted coronavirus on the eve of the Premier League kickoff.

However, following absence for a couple of Leicester fixtures – a win at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as a loss to West Ham United – Bertrand is available for the Norwich City clash:

"“Ryan Bertrand is back and available after the virus which is great news for us. We’ll assess him over the next 24 hours. Apart from that, it’s the same. Jannik won’t make it for the weekend. Hopefully him and Jonny will be back in training next week.”– Brendan Rodgers, LCFC Live"

Leicester City discover Europa League Group and opponents

Leicester have been dealt a tough draw in the Europa League, let’s not beat around the bush. Yet, in all fairness, the east Midlands side would have invariably had an even more challenging set of opponents if they had qualified for the current Champions League competition last season.

Spartak Moscow; Russia is an awkward place to achieve anything, I’d imagine, but at least the team is not great. Napoli; as intimidating as it gets in a fiery country to begin with – intense fans and a decent side to defeat. Polish outfit Legia Warszawa are possibly the lesser of the three teams, yet they must also not be underestimated.
