Ayoze Perez’s agent may upset Leicester with these comments
The agent of Leicester City attacker Ayoze Perez may well have upset the club after making these comments. Foxes of Leicester offers its opinion.
If you are not already aware, football clubs can be quite secretive when it comes to their affairs and business practices or agreements. And the Foxes are right up there with the most private, as far as my experience tells. Therefore they most likely want to keep all issues, good or bad, inside the LCFC walls.
And the latest representative readdress – they always seem to be on the hunt for their commission from deals, don’t they?! – might annoy certain people within the LCFC hierarchy.
Perez has made another poor start to the season – although his chance creation statistics were decent or superior to teammates in the initial outing of 2021/22 – following a red card, in particular. That incident caused no end of problems and assisted the demolition job at West Ham United’s London Stadium.
Recently Olaf Bonales Ferrera, the man in question, said this:
"“He [Perez] really likes Napoli and Italian football, but Leicester is a great option for him right now. For now he has another two years of contract, we don’t know the future: he’s 28 years old, when he will be 30 he’d be free and it would certainly not be a problem for the Italian league. Maybe.”Via TEAMtalk"
Essentially it might be perceived as disrespectful to LCFC, and by the club, to tout a player who could still garner a decent fee. However, Perez’s pricetag must be almost halved since his overpriced switch to Leicestershire.
Additionally, no Leicester supporter wants to be informed that the forward likes Napoli as a team – especially when the King Power side are about to meet the Italians.
