Caglar Soyuncu- 5:

Defended competently and in the air but a victim of overall defensive disorganisation. He was dragged out of position by Burnley’s strike pairing and is still missing the leadership of Jonny Evans. On the ball, he was solid if unspectacular.

Jannik Vestergaard- 4:

Not a day to remember fondly for the great Dane. Vestergaard looked shaky all game and his lack of pace was exposed repeatedly by Vydra, who was used by Burnley to target this defensive weakness. Should have done much better defending 2nd goal and lacked his usual composure on the ball.

Ryan Bertrand- 5:

Poor once again and surely his place should be under question. Lacked composure on the ball and offered little going forward except one dangerous cross. Defensively was indifferent but he hasn’t lived up to those early expectations he set for himself.

Wilfried Ndidi- 7:

His defensive dominance helped protect a shaky backline and also pin Burnley back in the 2nd half. A typical ‘Ndidi’ performance, with the only criticism being maybe a little sloppiness on the ball.

Boubakary Soumaré- 6:

A classy player and showed flashes of brilliance although he seems to be another square peg in a round hole. He’s not suited to playing in an advanced role when his forté is being able to progress the ball from deep.

Youri Tielemans- 8:

A classy performance from the starman, who created numerous chances with his passing and vision including an assist for Jamie Vardy. His set-pieces were poor as usual but he helps Leicester tick so effectively.
