Ademola Lookman- 7:

Another good performance from Lookman who repaid Rodgers’ eventual faith to start him. He was constantly looking to take on his man and drive forward although his end-product isn’t always there. Leicester City look so much more threatening with him in the side, and he deserves to start the next game.

Jamie Vardy- 8 (MOTM):

Ages like a fine wine, and punished Burnley fans for their foolish mistake of singing about his wife (he always scores when fans do that). Didn’t have the best start, missing a good chance and scoring an own goal. Nevertheless, he made up for it with two excellent finishes, continuing his excellent start to the season.

Harvey Barnes- 5:

Barnes is another player out of form and probably would have his place under threat but for the lack of competition. Once again frustrated as he has the ability but too often ran into traffic and lacked the final product.

Substitutes

Timothy Castagne- 6:

Defensively more secure than Ricardo, partly due to Cornet’s injury. Fortunate/astute enough to step up just in time to catch Chris Wood offside. Going forward he made an impact, helping put pressure on Burnley when LCFC needed it.

Kelechi Iheanacho- 7:

What does this man have to do to get a start? Once again made a difference, an excellent assist for Vardy being the evidence this time. He was also unlucky not to have more sights at goal, due to Burnley’s excellent defending.

James Maddison- 6:

Didn’t have enough time to influence the game but didn’t do anything particularly bad. Having said that, he didn’t do anything particularly well either.
