Leicester City’s rising-star striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has suffered an injury while on international duty. Meanwhile, there’s a Jonny Evans fitness update.

Evans is sorely missed in the heart of Leicester’s defence, anyone can see that. Actually, the former Manchester United centre-back is probably needed in the team more than any other player. If you disagree – please name a more crucial cog, I’ll wait.

Though the Northern Irishman might be on the sidelines for more time as it appears he has withdrawn from international football this week. Evans would likely have featured against Switzerland but an ongoing foot problem continues; read more on him by clicking here.

And there is extra bad news for the Foxes with Kelechi Iheanacho seemingly sustaining an injury in a game for his nation. The forward received a knock in the first-half when playing for the Nigerians; he tried to carry on, yet was substituted at half-time.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr suggests the King Power cult hero is a doubt for their next match on Sunday versus Central African Republic. The extent of the issue is currently unknown; you can read some information at this link.

Leicester City Europa League ticket news

Following a home draw with current Serie A leaders Napoli, then a drastically poor loss to Legia Warsaw in Poland, Leicester find themselves in an awkward group position in Europe. That placement is slightly worse than their Premier League spot at present; but performances in both competitions have been inadequate, to be polite.

Next up for the Foxes is a long and arduous trip to Russia. Great. The Blue Army will do well to follow their team to that destination – and Foxes of Leicester commends the fans who make those types of journeys.

Unfortunately, according to lcfc.com, the east Midlands side’s support may not be able to attend the Spartak Moscow clash at all. This is due to spectator involvement being under review for the game. Please check with the club’s website (linked above) for more details.
