The Premier League resumes this weekend where Leicester City will be hosting Manchester United after the conclusion of international break this week.

You will be aware that the hosts have been suffering from injuries for a very long time now; the visitors are also tasting the same agony presently. Man United have made a good start to the season with 14 points from seven games and are fourth in the table right now, but some may argue that they have not been performing up to their previous standards.

According to Mirror, United might be without their main centre-back pairing against the foxes. The former fox and present skipper of Leicester’s next opponents, Harry Maguire, is out of the clash due to an injury. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could also be without their new signing Raphael Varane after he sustained an injury against Spain in UEFA nations league final.

Apart from some theses issues for the thirteen times Premier League champions, there has been some good news too as their have been some rumblings regarding the potential return for Marcus Rashford who was sidelined because of a shoulder operation.

The Foxes have been struggling in the defence area both tactically and injury-wise: Jannik Vestergaard and Caglar Soyuncu have been exposed in numerous matches recently. It has become clear that Brendan Rodgers’ team hugely misses the pair of Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana.

There has been no set date given, but Brendan Rodgers said Evans missed City’s last game – against Crystal Palace – through illness rather than injury. That suggests he could return as soon as next Saturday when Leicester face Manchester United at the King Power Stadium, reported Leicester Mercury.

The international break also gave a scare to the blue army when the news of injury to Kelechi Iheanacho emerged out of the Nigerian camp. He picked up a knock against CAF in Lagos which led to his substitution at half-time. However, later on in an interview with Africa Foot United, Nigeria manager Rohr said:

Trending. It looks like Dennis Praet may never return to Leicester. light

"“The two injured that I had, have recovered, that is to say Onuachu and Kelechi Iheanacho. They are now ready, they will be in the 23, to participate or to give a hand, either at the beginning or during the match. I will have everyone at my disposal”Reported Leicester Mercury."
