Jonny Evans (CB) – With Evans in charge of the backline, the defense looks more solid. Prone to individual errors, the Northern Irishman doesn’t commit many mistakes of his own accord. He played well, covered spaces, and nullified a lot of threats. 7

Caglar Soyuncu (CB) – His quick deceptive turns do aid the Leicester City backline. But doing it in quick succession led to his dispossession of the ball that contributed to conceding the second goal. Far from perfect, though, with Evans by his side, he is slowly getting that confidence back and played eloquently in the second half. 6

Ricardo Pereira (RWB) – His frustrations were visible from the referee’s clouded judgments. He failed to contribute offensively and resided in his defensive duties for the longest part. Penalized with a yellow for doubling up with a push. 5

Youri Tielemans (CM) – He struggled with an ailment but it could not keep him contained. He assisted Patson Daka to kill the game off. Doing his part to his extent left the field to attend a potential injury scare. 7

Boubakary Soumare (CM) – Remained technically aware and showed a resilient display to shield away any threats that dared to test him. Good in the first half but solid in the second. Also received a yellow card caution. 7

Luke Thomas (LWB) – Victor Moses remained uncontained for a young Thomas, who struggled to control his marker. Extra points for trying hard with crosses and helping the forward line with regular supply. 6
