Marc Albrighton – 6

A complete mismatch to put him up against a pacy Ben Chilwell today. Fair enough Ricardo Pereira is still injured but this was a weird battle. Chilwell hit the bar in the opening minutes and although Albrighton grew in the game he was mainly just battling Chilwell in an ineffective position. He put in a few nice crosses for a team that is no threat on crosses, which is ironic.

Daniel Amartey – 6

Arguably was the strongest of the three centre-backs (which isn’t saying much) winning some key challenges in dangerous areas and nearly whipped in a goal of the season contender in the second half.

Jonny Evans – 5

A below-average display as he couldn’t impose himself on Chelsea’s fluid tactics in a fairly open back three. Should have closed Kante down more strongly for the second goal and strangely switched off from marking Pulisic for the third.

Caglar Soyuncu – 5

Pretty anonymous throughout until he decided to go on a lung-busting run at the end of the game, more in frustration than anything.

Wilfred Ndidi – 4

Really needed to have a big game against Kante and Jorginho and did virtually nothing all game. Poor passes, slow to challenges, and no aggressive press anywhere. Holding his leg at the end indicates he isn’t 100% fit. Is he thinking his time is up at Leicester City.

Boubakary Soumare – 4

Didn’t venture forward at all and was caught flat-footed on the second goal. Didn’t travel on the ball once and was bullied off it throughout. Not one to feel confident about, with Tielemans a few weeks away from fitness.
