The free agent market is looking juicy for Leicester City. In summer, several big names are out of contract. Here are the players the Foxes should sign up.

Brendan Rodgers will be sweating a little ahead of the summer window. With several of our own players rumoured to be considering the exit door, the King Power side need to prepare for any potential gaps in the senior side.

From Youri Tielemans to Kasper Schmeichel, the rumour mill is swirling. So, let us go through the three free transfers the Foxes should sign up in the summer window, and which players to expect to leave.

Leicester City’s big chance

To say the summer window could be a massive window is an understatement. Names as big as Paul Pogba, Franck Kessie, and Ousmane Dembele are currently in the pre-contract phase of transfer arrangements. Any club can negotiate to sign them free in the summer.

I would expect -should the King Power side fail to achieve high European-level competition – that the Starman Belgian will leave Leicester. Beyond that, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho may be on the way out for their own reasons.

Leicester City still need a prolific right-winger – a position they have failed to adequately fill since the departure of Riyad Mahrez – and ready-made defensive replacements for Jonny Evans and Ricardo Pereira.

With so many players coming out of contract, looking for those positions should not be difficult. So, I will detail a midfielder, a defender, and a winger the Foxes could realistically look to sign, even if with competition.
